Fundraising is always close to the heart of the Pure team and doing good for vital causes is an essential part of that, but we also love the team spirit that some of the events we take part in creates.
Combat Stress, our chosen charity for 2020, has no doubt been called upon more than ever this year and for that reason, there was no way we were going to let Covid-19 stand in the way of our fundraising efforts.
One of the events that Fiona took part in recently along with Pamela from Highland Fuels was a swim across the Gulf of Corryvreckan in Argyll, famous for its strong tidal currents and home of the daunting Corryvreckan whirlpool.
Fiona who raised a fantastic £1185 said “Training for this event had been difficult due to lack of access to a pool during lockdown but we went for it regardless and somehow we made it. Never again though!”.
